Protea Hotel Parktonian is now a “Gautrain” Hotel
We are now the Johannesburg hotel that is within walking distance of, and the nearest major hotel to, the new Johannesburg Gautrain station – Park Station. Once the Gautrain route into Johannesburg itself is completed in months to come, we will offer a complimentary shuttle to and from Gautrain Johannesburg Park Station.
We will proudly call ourselves a “Gautrain” hotel. We will even boast that we are a Johannesburg OR Tambo airport hotel – as access to the airport will be so quick via Johannesburg’s Gautrain.
The Gautrain will take you to Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo airport in 20 minutes, and also give easy access to Rosebank, Sandton, Midrand and Pretoria.
Until the last section of the Gautrain track - from Rosebank to Johannesburg Gautrain Park Station – is completed, Gautrain will be running a temporary bus service from Rosebank into the Johannesburg CBD. Stop no 11 on this bus route is virtually on the doorstep of the hotel.
So please contact us prior to your arrival, and we will meet you at Bus Stop 11 and assist you with your luggage.
